It was a sunny Saturday (09/01/2010) and luckily I got a chance to gear up to go to the over-crowded Auto Expo 2010, Delhi, India. It was a wonderful experience to find a lot of Auto Manufacturers singing the rhyme of Go Green Raga and planned for the low-emission or even Zero Emission (Electric/Hybrid) vehicles to be launched in the near future.
The year 2010 can bring a change if the plans and processes which these have conceptualized come true on the Indian roads and hence we can cut a lot of emissions and reduce the CO2 emissions from our end.
A glimpse of a few Auto manufacturers pitching in with the Green Vehicles.
Tata Indica Electric Vehicle (EV):
Tata Indica is all set to launch their Electic Vehices on the roads.
Chevrolet e-Spark:
Chevy's e-Spark is another one in the small cars which can be a very good option to Go Green because it's all Electric and the looks are pretty decent.
TVS Hybrid Auto - Rickshaw:
Auto Rickshaws in India are a major contributor to the Green House gases and TVS has brought a very nice workaround by which you can be Eco-friendly and cut on Green House Emissions also. And the workaround is TVS Hybrid Auto.
Fiat's Low Emission Jet Engine:
Fiat has promised a low emission engine which may also go green and exhaust less.
Another very major contributer was TATA Motors Nano in which they are providing an auto Stop-Start model which would provide a turn off to your engine at the Red light crossing after 5-6 secs. Yes, you can disable it also as per your convenience.
So, this was a glimpse of Green vehicles which I could spot at the Auto Expo 2010 and I hope you would be happy to buy one among them to Go Green.
Let's Go Green.
