Do you know what all do you save if you switch your System/PC Off when you leave your office at night ? If not, then please read on
A PC with CRT monitor, typically burns around 150 Watts of Electricity per hour..
-In 10 hours, you waste 150*10 = 1500 Watts-hr power.
-In turn, you around 1.5 units of Electricity (you can check for the cost per unit)
-Not only that, but your PC has released around 1.5 Kg of CO2 and other poisonous gases to the environment.
Hence, a minimal time spent on Switching your PC OFF can save all these resources and a lot of lives.
FYI... even a PC on standby also consumes good amount of energy. The same applies to other appliances as well.
So, let's Switch it OFF.
